Farm Dance is happening on Sunday 5th January 2020 at new venue Joes Farm. Location is set to be revealed on Friday 4th October! Sign up to our mailer or purchase a ticket and you will be the first to know!

How do I get to the festival?

Is there transport to the festival?

Yes. A free ride from Whangamata is available to every ticket purchaser. The shuttle bus service timetable will be released at a later date. Sign up or Buy a ticket to be the first to know The shuttle bus will be available to all Festival attendees for a free return journey after the show. The shuttle bus will be available on the morning post event to return campers to Whangamata and will return any Parking ticket holders to the site from Whangamata to collect vehicle if they chose to leave the vehicle parked overnight at the site.

Will tickets be available at the gate on the day?

What happens if I arrive without a ticket?

You will be refused entry and sent back to the nearest Box Office.

Can I purchase tickets at a reduce price if I come midway through the event, if tickets are still available?

There are no gate sale tickets. Tickets at box office are sold at full price regardless of the time you purchased on event day.

What happens if I lose my ticket?

Tickets purchased from a retail outlet cannot be replaced if lost, please treat them like cash. Tickets purchased online will be delivered in the form of a bar-coded print-at-home PDF ticket; or a bar-coded Passbook ticket (electronic ticket on mobile device). If you are having an issue with your ticket purchased online, please e-mail support@farmdance.co.nz

Farm Dance does not take responsibility for tickets purchased outside of the official platform. We can only suggest that you get in touch with you bank to reverse the transfer and report to the police. We highly recommend that you only purchase tickets from www.farmdance.co.nz

Will my camping ticket include parking?

No. The campground has its own parking area. If you are purchasing a Camping Ticket and want to bring a vehicle you must purchase a Camping Park Ticket.

I'm camping with a friend, can I use their ticket?

No. Camping tickets admit one person per ticket. Make sure you and your friends have purchased a ticket each!

Do I bring a tent?

Yes.

Can I bring alcohol into the campsite?

No. But there will be a a bar and food options available. Bags will be searched on entry.

Can I cook in the camp area?

No. The camp area is set up as a temporary overnight facility. There will be food and beverage available in the camp area. No open fires allowed.

Will there be showering facilities?

No. The camp area is set up as a temporary overnight facility. There will be toilets and a free water station but no showers.

What time is camping open?

Camping gates will be open from 10:00am on the day of the event.

What time is camping check out?

Campers must vacate by midday the next day. No exceptions.

Can I buy a camping ticket if I already have a festival ticket?

Yes. You can buy them separately. Camping tickets are sold separately to general admission tickets.

What do I get with my camping ticket?

Toilets, bar, food vendor options + special campsite stage with lineup to be announced closer to event.

Can campers come and go between camping car park + campgrounds

Yes, but you will be required to be searched on re-entry.

Will my belongings be safe?

Security will patrol campground but Farm Dance will not be responsible for your personal items. Farm Dance takes no responsibility for the loss or damages to your personal belongings or items.

How many car park locations are there?

There are 3 parking areas. One for overnight camping and one for general admission and VIP ticket holders.

I'm driving to the event but not camping, where can I park?

There are 3 parking areas. If you are not camping you can purchase a GA car park ticket or upgrade to VIP for a VIP car park closer to the festival.

Can I bring a Caravan for overnight camping and what ticket will I need to buy?

Is the festival R18+?

Yes, Farm Dane Music Festival Whangamata is strictly an over 18's event. Patrons must present valid photo ID in order to enter Farm Dance Music Festival Whangamata. Accepted ID for 18+ patrons attending Farm Dance in Whangamata will be as follows: 1. Current New Zealand Driver’s Licence with photograph; or 2. Passport; or 3. Current HANZ 18+ Card Anyone who fails to present an Accepted ID upon entry will not be allowed into Farm Dance Music Festival. No refunds will be processed for anyone who is denied entry because they did not bring Accepted ID. The Conditions of Entry and Ticketing Terms & Conditions apply to everyone attending Farm Dance Music Festival. Promoter reserves the right to evict any persons engaging in illegal activities.

Can I walk to the festival?

No. There is no pedestrian access to the festival. All ticket holders must arrive by free shuttle bus service operating from the CBD or by car. If you're driving make sure you have purchased a car park ticket (here).

Found: Please take any found items to Festival staff or hand them in at the Information Booth. Lost: If you misplace something please check with Information Booth on the day as things will be turned in there.

Unfortunately we do not allow for outside food to be brought into the festival. There will be a great range of food available for purchase. Sealed plastic water bottles (with or without contents) cannot be brought into the Event Site. Unsealed empty plastic water bottles (no glass) can be brought into the Event Site.

Does Farm Dance Music Festival have disabled access & facilities?

Yes, Joe's Farm has wheelchair access, surfaces however include metal roadways, grass and dirt covered areas. There are no tar sealed or concrete pathways. See www.joesfarm.co.nz for more info!

If you wish to apply for media accreditation, please email info@farmdance.co.nz. Due to the size of event, media tickets are extremely limited. We advise you to purchase a ticket if you don't want to miss out. We won't be accepting students or freelancers not representing a music-related media outlet.
I am an Artist. Can I submit to perform at the Festival?
Unfortunately not. We are not accepting anymore artist submissions for Farm Dance Festival 2020.

What happens if I arrive without a ticket?

Can I purchase tickets at a reduce price if I come midway through the event, if tickets are still available?

There are no gate sale tickets. Tickets at box office are sold at full price regardless of the time you purchased on event day.

What happens if I lose my ticket?

Tickets purchased from a retail outlet cannot be replaced if lost, please treat them like cash. Tickets purchased online will be delivered in the form of a bar-coded print-at-home PDF ticket; or a bar-coded Passbook ticket (electronic ticket on mobile device). Is the festival R18+?

Yes, Farm Dane Music Festival Whangamata is strictly an over 18's event. Patrons must present valid photo ID in order to enter Farm Dance Music Festival Whangamata. Accepted ID for 18+ patrons attending Farm Dance in Whangamata will be as follows: 1. Current New Zealand Driver’s Licence with photograph; or 2. Passport; or 3. Current HANZ 18+ Card Anyone who fails to present an Accepted ID upon entry will not be allowed into Farm Dance Music Festival. No refunds will be processed for anyone who is denied entry because they did not bring Accepted ID. The Conditions of Entry and Ticketing Terms & Conditions apply to everyone attending Farm Dance Music Festival. Promoter reserves the right to evict any persons engaging in illegal activities.

Can I walk to the festival?

No. There is no pedestrian access to the festival. All ticket holders must arrive by free shuttle bus service operating from the CBD or by car. If you're driving make sure you have purchased a car park ticket (here).

No. Festival is licensed to sell food & drinks and provides great, well-stocked bars. All bags are searched on arrival.

Can I go bare foot?

Sorry team! Shoe wear is necessary on the farm! Thongs and sandals are fine but we highly recommend enclosed footwear (gumboots too!) as it is a long day.

Where do I report any lost and found items?

Found: Please take any found items to Festival staff or hand them in at the Information Booth. Lost: If you misplace something please check with Information Booth on the day as things will be turned in there.

Can I bring my own food and water into the festival?

Unfortunately we do not allow for outside food to be brought into the festival. There will be a great range of food available for purchase. Sealed plastic water bottles (with or without contents) cannot be brought into the Event Site. Unsealed empty plastic water bottles (no glass) can be brought into the Event Site.

Does Farm Dance Music Festival have disabled access & facilities?

Yes, Joe's Farm has wheelchair access, surfaces however include metal roadways, grass and dirt covered areas. There are no tar sealed or concrete pathways. See www.joesfarm.co.nz for more info!
